Making a Rectangular Prism Christmas Tree
- Objective:
To use art and math to create a rectangular prism Christmas Tree - Materials:
Rectangular prism (from herbal tea product), ruler, pencil, graph paper, template for circles, protractor, construction paper, card stock, scissors, glue, glue stick and glitter. - Materials:
Measure and graph to enlarge the prism. Make a template for tracing. Cut, fold and glue. Use circle templates for ornaments. Decorate.


Lesson Plan Two
Mandala CD Hanging
- Objective:
To transform a recycled CD, decorated with a mandala, into a stained glass window hanging with beads. - Materials:
Jose Arguelles Mandala (for research), mandala drawings to color (for practice), prepared CDs (ink removed and holes drilled for hanging), nylon thread, permanent markers, a variety of beads and other items. - Materials:
Place mandala drawing under CD and trace with permanent markers. Thread beads and add the CD along with more beads or hanging items.
